Husband and wife shooting was murder-suicide, Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office says
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, citing the county’s medical examiner, said Monday the husband and wife who were found dead over the weekend in their Southwest Miami-Dade home died as a result of a murder-suicide.
The sheriff’s office identified the couple Sunday as 44-year-old Ulises Cabrera and Susana Koris, 42. The double shooting took place Saturday afternoon in a home in the 17000 block of Southwest 153rd Court.
The warranty deed from the couple’s 2020 purchase of the 1995-built, 2,149-square-foot, four-bedroom, three-bathroom house that sits on a 7,500 square-foot lot states that Cabrera and Koris were husband and wife at the time. Neither had filed for divorce in Miami-Dade County, records show.
The Facebook page for Cabrera, whose full name is Ulises Cabrera Gonzalez, says he was born in Havana, Cuba, and worked as the finance manager at Bomnin Chevrolet in West Kendall. Social media pictures on both Facebook accounts show the couple had two kids.
Miami-Dade Det. Samantha Choon said Monday the county Medical Examiner’s Office determined “this incident was a murder-suicide.”
