Man charged with murder after double stabbing near Southwest Miami-Dade bank: MDSO
A man is behind bars on charges of stabbing a man to death and injuring another at a TD Bank in Miami’s southwest area Monday morning. Authorities say the attack stemmed from an argument between three men who knew each other.
The incident happened around 10:35 a.m. near the parking lot of the TD Bank at 11201 SW 40 Street, in the area between Olympia Heights and Westwood Lakes. When Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived, they found two men suffering from stab wounds.

Both victims were rushed to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital. One of them, 58-year-old Rodolfo Torres Rodriguez, later died from his injuries. The second victim, 43-year-old Raphael Crespo Herrera, remains hospitalized in stable condition as of Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies arrested Jorge Pau-Figueroa, 33, at the scene.
An investigation revealed Pau-Figueroa and the two victims were involved in an argument that escalated, according to his arrest paperwork.
Pau-Figueroa pulled out a knife, stabbing Rodriguez in the head and cutting Crespo Herrera on his arm, per the arrest affidavit.
Deputies say they found two knives on Pau-Figueroa — one of them covered in blood.
During questioning, Pau-Figueroa reportedly confessed to the attack after waiving his rights. He’s charged with murder and attempted murder.
Jail records show Pau-Figueroa is in custody at Turner Guildford Knight Correctional Center.
