The legal troubles of the Alexander brothers
The Alexander brothers have been accused in civil, state and federal cases of systematically raping and sex trafficking women in Florida, New York, Colorado, Mexico and Russia. Federal prosecutors say that more than 60 women, including a minor, have come forward. In December, the brothers were arrested in Miami by federal and local authorities, and are currently awaiting trial in Brooklyn’s federal detention center. All three brothers pleaded not guilty and their attorneys have denied the allegations.

A Miami judge set a trial date Thursday for two of the Alexander brothers and their good friend, all facing sex crime charges in three Miami Beach cases dating back to 2016.
But the May 12 date is likely tentative for at least two of them.
That’s because jet-setting 37-year-old twins Oren and Alon Alexander are behind bars in a Brooklyn jail awaiting a federal trial on rape and sex trafficking charges involving other women. And according to the judge who set the trial date, getting the Alexander brothers back to Miami is out of her hands.
“The state doesn’t have the jurisdiction to bring them down,” Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Lody Jean said during a Thursday hearing in which she also ruled on some motions related to the cases.
“I’m going to try,” said Natalie Snyder, the Miami-Dade assistant state attorney tasked with prosecuting the celebrity brothers and their friend.

If the state’s petition to gain custody of the twins fails, Judge Jean said she was prepared to go forward with the prosecution of Ohad Fisherman, 39. He’s a former high-end real estate broker who launched a catering career and was once referred to in a New York magazine as the city’s “Hummus hunk.”
He’s also the only one of the four people charged in the sex crime cases who was able to bond out of jail and remain in Miami with an ankle monitor.
Fisherman came to the public’s attention on Dec. 11, the same day federal agents and Miami Beach police raided the Alexander brothers’ Miami Beach homes, and took Oren and Alon Alexander into custody after they were accused of the Miami Beach rapes.
Fisherman was forced to cut his honeymoon in Japan short a week later and return to Miami to face a judge after being charged in one of the Beach rape cases.
Miami Beach incident on New Year’s Eve
The twins and Fisherman were accused of taking part in the rape of a woman on New Year’s Eve 2016. The woman told police she was raped by the twins at a Collins Avenue apartment as Fisherman used his knees to pin her down on a bed. He’s facing a single count of sexual battery by multiple perpetrators. Oren and Alon Alexander were also charged with sexual battery.
Only Oren was charged with sexual battery in two other Miami Beach cases. One in 2017, involved a woman who said he sexually assaulted her at his apartment after she put on a pair of virtual reality glasses. Another woman told police that in 2021 Oren Alexander locked her in his bedroom, mounted her against her will and ejaculated on her stomach.
Federal agents charged the twins and their older brother Tal Alexander, 38, with sex trafficking and rape charges on the same day in December. Tal is jailed in New York as well.
Prosecutors say the brothers used their wealth and celebrity in the high-end real estate business to lure women on trips throughout the U.S., even to other countries, then often drugged them before they were raped.
Also Thursday, Judge Jean told Snyder, the prosecutor, to make an attempt to supply the defense attorneys with copies of the search warrants obtained to enter homes and take custody of electronic devices during the Dec. 11 arrests and to hand them over to defense attorneys.
Denied bid to get Morgan & Morgan files
The judge denied a motion to compel a leading personal injury firm to provide defense attorneys communication between the firm and a client who sued the brothers in civil court and is a victim in one of the Miami Beach cases.
The judge said she’d likely sign a subpoena if defense attorneys want to obtain the records. Attorneys for the twins and Fisherman have accused a Morgan & Morgan lawyer and her high-profile firm of controlling witnesses and other evidence that shaped the criminal case filed by Miami-Dade prosecutors.
Oren and Tal were stars in the high-end luxury real estate world, where they have been credited with taking part in some of the largest residential sales in the country. Alon was an executive at the family’s Kent Security business.
Almost two dozen women have also filed civil cases in New York and Florida saying they were sexually assaulted or raped by one or more of the Alexander brothers.
