Fort Lauderdale man jailed for stabbing, robbery of Amazon driver, police say
A man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of an Amazon driver earlier this month in Fort Lauderdale.
Curtis Gardner, 33, was taken into custody Monday morning by the Fort Lauderdale Police Department’s Fugitive Unit. Gardner faces charges of felony attempted murder, armed carjacking and burglary with battery.
The stabbing happened around 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 7 in the 1100 block of Northwest 10th Terrace. Police say the suspect approached the Amazon driver while his delivery vehicle was disabled with a flat tire. The attacker pulled out a knife, stabbed the driver and fled the scene.

The Amazon employee was taken to Broward Health Medical Center.
“The driver’s injuries were serious, but he is expected to recover,” police spokeswoman Casey Liening said last week.
Investigators initially described the incident as appearing random. Police say the attack also involved a robbery, though details about the stolen items remain under investigation.
Gardner is currently jailed at Broward County without bond, according to jail records.
