Amazon driver seriously injured after stabbing in Fort Lauderdale. Police seek tips

An Amazon driver was hospitalized with serious injuries after being stabbed Saturday night in Fort Lauderdale, police say.

Shortly after 7:30 p.m., investigators responded to the 1100 block of Northwest 10th Terrace, where they found the Amazon driver with stab wounds. The driver was taken to Broward Health Medical Center.

“The driver’s injuries were serious, but he is expected to recover,” Fort Lauderdale police spokeswoman Casey Liening said Monday.

Police believe the attack was random and do not have anyone in custody. The attacker approached the driver, whose vehicle was disabled with a flat tire, with a knife before stabbing him, according to police.

Liening also said that the “incident also involved a robbery.”

“This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information or who witnessed this should contact police immediately,” police said.
