One of the passengers in the four cars involved said two black Infinitis and a black GMC Yukon were headed east on Pembroke Road after leaving the Grand Cafe, 12389 Pembroke Rd., when a fourth car rolled up next to the three cars. Someone in that fourth car began firing at the GMC, hitting both that SUV and one of the Infinitis.

The two women in critical condition were in the Infiniti and were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. As Miramar officers talked to passengers in the 8300 block of Pembroke Road, they heard about another shooting involving the people in the fourth car and the passengers in the Infiniti that hadn’t been hit in the first shooting. This shooting happened in Davie and sent a woman in the second Infiniti to the hospital with injuries described as “not life threatening.”

Despite the number of passengers in the three cars, police say they received no description of the fourth car from which the gunfire came in each shooting.

The ensuing investigation shut down the Pembroke Road-University Drive intersection near North Perry Airport until 10 a.m.

Helicopter video from TV news stations showed a shot-up dark-colored vehicle near a bus stop.

Several evidence markers indicating bullet casings were scattered on the ground.

Anyone with information can call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 (TIPS).
