A father killed, another man injured by a drive-by shooting at a Broward home, cops say

A Saturday night shooting at a Pompano Beach home killed one person and injured another, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.

Izell “Pop” Williams, 37, father, brother and son, was pronounced dead after being taken to Broward Health North.

The second person didn’t want his name released by BSO, enacting his rights under Marsy’s Law, an amendment that created a bill of rights for crime victims that give them the right to prevent disclosure of information.

The sheriff’s office said both men were found after multiple shots were fired from a dark blue sedan around 11:40 p.m. in the 2200 block of Northwest Fourth Street.
