27-year-old transgender woman killed in Friday night shooting, police say

A transgender woman was found fatally shot at her home Friday night, and the shooter remains at large, Broward Sheriff’s Office said.

A report of a shooting drew BSO deputies to the 200 block of Northwest 12th Street in Pompano Beach Friday night around 10:18. That’s where they found Bree Black, 27, dead on the ground with a gunshot wound.

Anyone with information can call BSO Det. Louis Bonhomme, 954-321-4377; Broward Crime Stoppers, 954-493-TIPS (8477); or go to the Broward Crime Stoppers website.
