Dashcam video shows former NFL star Antonio Brown tussle with a truck driver
Newly released dashcam footage shows the moments former NFL star Antonio Brown confronted a moving company’s truck driver outside his Hollywood home in January. Brown was later charged.
The video from Jan. 21 doesn’t clearly show the driver or Brown “physically grab and pull” him as was described by an officer in a police report. But Brown can be seen entering the tuck’s cab through the reflection of a mirror. He is then heard screaming, and there appears to be a tussle. He is then seen pacing in front of the truck.
Brown’s girlfriend can be heard pleading for Brown to get away from the driver by yelling “stop.”
Brown, who has been out of jail on bond since Jan. 24, is still facing charges of burglary with battery, burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and criminal mischief. His next court date is scheduled for June 26.
Brown had a warrant issued for his arrest after originally not agreeing to speak to police. He has pleaded not guilty on all charges.
Glenn Holt, Brown’s trainer, was also arrested. Holt was charged with one count of burglary with battery.
Brown had an encounter with Hollywood police eight days before the moving truck incident. On Jan. 13, officers responded to an incident involving Brown’s ex-girlfriend, Chelsie Kyriss. The encounter ended with no arrests, but police say Brown waved penis-shaped gummy candies at officers while calling them “a bag of d----.”
Hollywood’s Police Athletic League youth football program ended its relationship with Brown and returned his financial contribution.
Brown, who grew up in Liberty City and graduated from Miami Norland Senior High, was traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Oakland Raiders after a 2019 off-season. He was released before the regular season. He was then picked up by the New England Patriots, but only played one game before a former trainer filed a lawsuit alleging sexual assault. He was then cut.
