A Lauderhill man who bonded out of Broward County jail after a late January grand theft charge returned to jail Tuesday night, charged with one count of murder and two counts of felony murder.

Akeeme Brown turned himself in six days after a shooting at the Royal Point Condominium in the 3600 block of Northwest 21st Street in Lauderdale Lakes. A woman died there around 10:30 p.m., and a man and a woman were taken to Broward Health Medical Center.

The names of the victims were not released.

Though Brown’s address on his last arrest is a Northwest 46th Avenue Lauderhill apartment, the grand theft charge stems from an alleged four-day stay at a Hollywood Holiday Inn, Room 521. An arrest report says the charges were disputed by the credit card holder and Brown claimed he paid $150 for the room to a woman he didn’t know.

He was arrested on Jan. 28.
