Miami

A 38-year-old man was fatally shot near Hialeah early Saturday, police said.

About 2:28 a.m., Miami-Dade Police received reports of shots fired at 3530 NW 84th Ter. and subsequently found gunshot victim Tyrone Cobbins at the scene surrounded by onlookers, said MDP spokesman Lee Cowart.

Cobbins, who lived in the 300 block of Northwest 63rd Terrace in Miami, was pronounced dead by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, Cowart said. The shooting took place near Broadmoor Elementary School and Madison Middle School.

Though no suspect has been taken into custody, detectives with Miami-Dade Police’s Homicide Bureau continued their search for anyone responsible.

Two people were injured in a separate shooting in Hialeah on Friday night. The shooting suspect was later arrested in a car crash that injured a third person.
