A Fort Lauderdale man on probation has been charged with first-degree murder as the second suspect in the June 18 shooting death of rapper XXXTentacion.
The Broward Sheriff's Office didn't have to look for Michael Boatwright once detectives got the arrest warrant for first-degree murder.
The 22-year-old was already in Broward County Jail after his arrest Thursday on felony cocaine possession with intent to sell or deliver and misdemeanor marijuana possession charges, which brought additional violation of probation charges. Boatwright is on probation until April 2019 from battery and drug charges.
According to the arrest report from Thursday, there was a DNA search warrant out for Boatwright when a BSO deputy used a potential window tint violation to stop his 2014 Lexus IS250.

No tint violation ticket was issued or even referred to again on the report, but the report says Boatwright dropped the marijuana being rolled on his lap when he got out of the car. In Boatwright's pants, the deputy says he found a plastic bag with 6 grams of crack cocaine, broken up for retail sale.
His probation punishment comes from two November 2013 incidents.
In the first, while he was a student at Pine Ridge Education Center, a school that says it's for students with "severe and continuous behavioral problems," Boatwright pushed a school security officer trying to remove him from a classroom. He later delivered profanity-seasoned threats toward the school and a BSO officer.
Nineteen days later, Boatwright was busted after selling $40 of cocaine to an undercover officer.
BSO says it is still looking for rotund Robert Allen as a person of interest in the murder. BSO has released a surveillance video still of a black-shirted, portly black male it says is Allen in Deerfield Beach's Riva Motorsports & Marine the same day that XXXTentacion (given name: Jahseh Onfroy) was shot during a robbery as he left Riva's parking lot.
The arrest warrant for Dedrick Williams, arrested three weeks ago on a murder charge, says Riva's surveillance cameras track a "heavy set" black male in a black shirt and the orange sandal-wearing Williams from parking lot entry to robbery. But when describing the robbery, which began with an SUV blocking XXXTentacion's BMW, it says "both suspects reentered the passenger's side of the dark-colored SUV..." indicating a third person on the robbery team as a driver.
