BSO looking for portly fraudster as person of interest in XXXTentacion murder
Days after arresting a convicted car thief in the murder of rapper XXXTentacion, the Broward Sheriff's Office is looking for fraudster Robert Allen as a "person of interest."
BSO released a June 18 surveillance video still of Allen from Riva Motorsports & Marine, the Deerfield Beach superstore from where 20-year-old XXXTentaction (given name: Jahseh Onfroy) was leaving when he was killed during a robbery that afternoon.
BSO says it has the 2017 Dodge Journey used in the robbery. The warrant for Dedrick Williams, arrested June 20 and charged with depraved murder without premeditation, said Riva's parking lot surveillance video showed a shooting after a two-man robbery that began with an SUV blocking XXXTentacion's BMW as it left Riva's parking lot.
The warrant also says surveillance video shows Williams in the store, the parking lot and the robbers' SUV wearing orange sandals and accompanied by a "heavy set black male in a dark-colored t-shirt."
Allen, 22, stands 5-foot-8 and weighs at least 310 pounds, according to his Department of Corrections profile. He's on probation until Sept. 15, 2021, after his conviction on 21 counts of fraudulent use of identification.
XXXTentacion's memorial continues at BB&T Center in Sunrise until 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Anyone with information on this homicide can contact BSO Detectives Walt Foster or John Curcio at 954-321-4210. Those who wish to remain anonymous can contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or via the Broward Crime Stoppers website.
