For the second time in three months, Miami-Dade police will be handing out fliers as they look for the car and driver in a Northwest Seventh Avenue hit-and-run fatality.

Police say a dark-colored, four-door car struck 61-year-old Lisa Ann Taipale, aka Lisa Ruiz, around 11:35 p.m. on June 8 around the 9400 block of Northwest Seventh Avenue.

Two days after Miami-Dade asked for the public's help in finding who mowed down Auguste Friznel as he crossed Northwest Seventh Avenue near 103rd Street on April 15, cops say Michel Vernet confessed. Two more pedestrians were hit in the same area as Friznel while police passed out fliers three days later. That driver remained on the scene.
