A car hit 2 pedestrians just days after another was killed in the same place

A car struck two pedestrians Wednesday afternoon in North Miami-Dade as police were on the scene distributing fliers on Sunday's fatal hit-and-run at the same location.

That location is Northwest 103rd Street and Seventh Avenue, where 51-year-old Auguste Friznel was killed Sunday as he crossed Northwest Seventh Avenue. Police are looking for the white mid-2000s Toyota Rav4 that surveillance video caught killing Friznel then continuing north on Seventh Avenue.

The driver in Wednesday's crash remained on the scene. One pedestrian was taken to the hospital as a trauma alert patient, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

The 2:36 p.m. crash on the street that runs parallel to Interstate 95 from near Jackson Memorial Hospital to the Golden Glades Interchange should affect northbound traffic into the start of rush hour.
