Pedestrian, 80, critical after being struck by truck in Miami Beach
An 80-year-old woman lay in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital after being struck in a Miami Beach intersection by a Ford F-250 pickup.
The accident, which shut down the westbound lane of Fifth Street for half the block between Meridian and Jefferson late Friday morning into Friday afternoon, comes two days after a 92-year-old pedestrian was killed by an MCCI transport bus at 41st Street and Sheridan Avenue on the Beach.
The truck was headed westbound on Fifth Street.
