Interstate 95 and other major roads will be closed for hours Wednesday during the procession and memorial service in honor of Miami Beach Officer David Cajuso, according to officials.

On Oct. 28, 33-year-old Cajuso, a 10-year police veteran, died in a motorcycle crash on the I-75 extension near Hialeah. His memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.

“We extend our deepest appreciation to all those across the country who have shared their condolences and continue to keep the Cajuso family in their thoughts and prayers during this time of profound loss,” the Miami Beach Police Department said.

Two funeral processions have been planned around the memorial service at Hard Rock. The first will take place around 8 a.m. from Vista Memorial, 14200 NW 57th Ave., to the Miami Beach Police Station, 1100 Washington Ave.

The procession will travel along State Road 112 East to I-195, then from I-95 North to I-195 East and finally continuing into Miami Beach.

The second procession will take place from the Miami Beach Police Station to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. Though the exact times aren’t clear, it will move along Washington Avenue to Fifth Street to I-95 North, then take I-95 North to the Florida Turnpike North to Northwest 199th Street and finally Northwest 27th Avenue to Northwest 203rd Street to the stadium.

Police are advising commuters to expect traffic delays and intermittent road closures between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
