Swim advisory lifted for South Beach and Crandon Park
Health officials have lifted the swim advisory for the southern tip of Miami Beach and the northern edge of Key Biscayne.
Miami-Dade’s branch of the Florida Department of Health issued an advisory Friday warning beachgoers to avoid the water at Ocean Drive and South Pointe Drive, as well as the water on the north beach of Crandon Park on Key Biscayne. Water quality tests showed levels of fecal bacteria that exceeded federal standards.
Tuesday afternoon, officials announced lifting of the ban after satisfactory water quality tests.
