A man angry at a driver took out his frustration by attacking the driver's SUV on a busy Hialeah street in an apparent road rage incident, and it was captured on video.

The 40-second video, posted on the Instagram page @only.in.hialeah.305 by @dana_cbr, shows what appears to be a heated road rage incident at West 28th Avenue and 79th Street on Monday evening.

A man, dressed in white pants and a green shirt, winds up his right arm and punches the SUV's front grill twice — hard enough for his glasses to fly off his face.

The driver of the SUV begins to back up and the enraged man appears to walk back to his white sports car, but then turns around and makes a running leap toward the SUV.

The force appeared to jerk the SUV backward. The man then calmly walks back to his own car.

Police on Tuesday confirmed that officers responded to a road rage incident, but said the complainant did not want to file a report.

Road rage is not uncommon on South Florida roadways. In March, a crowd tried to stop a hit-and-run driver off Biscayne Boulevard and a person pulled out a sledgehammer to attack the car as it tried to escape.

Last year, a video showing a man taking a bat to a car with an SUV also went viral.
