Miami-Dade police on Monday identified the man shot to death over the weekend in Coral Gables. Richard Jesus Hernandez, 24, was found in the 1000 block of Salzedo Street at about 1 p.m. Saturday with a gunshot wound, according to police.
“Where it happened is two blocks from Eighth Street,” said Miami-Dade Det. Jennifer Capote. “We are hoping that someone in the area saw what happened.”
Capote said detectives are “actively working,” to piece together the crime. As of Monday police did not reveal a motive.
Police on Saturday were responding to a shooting call when they found Hernandez with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Ryder Trauma Center, where he died.
