Miami-Dade Sheriff’s office traffic homicide detectives are asking the public’s help in tracking down the driver of a car that struck and killed a man in the Redland agricultural district Sunday morning.

They also identified the deceased man as 22-year-old Baltazar Nicolas Antonio. Deputies found him already dead lying next to his BMW sedan at Southwest 216th Street and 187th Avenue around 5 a.m., according to the sheriff’s office.

Detectives say the driver hit Antonio and left the scene without rendering aid or calling 911 for help.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information about the incident to call (305) 471-8477 or submit an anonymous tip to CrimeStoppers305.com.
