Christmas Day falls on a Sunday, so get ready for that extra day off or altered hours on Monday for public services.
But, there’s good news if you’re suddenly short on rolls or sazon completa on Christmas Day: A few places will be open for a supply run, including some supermarket chains.
Here’s what to know about what’s running and when on Christmas Eve (Nochebuena), Christmas Day and the legal holiday that’s on Monday, Dec. 26:
Supermarkets
Publix: Closing at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve and closed Christmas Day. Order holiday meals and desserts by Thursday.
Winn-Dixie and Fresco Y Mas: All stores closed Christmas Day. Order holiday meals at least two days before pickup.
Sedano’s: Stores open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Milam’s Market: Stores will close at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve and remain closed Christmas Day. Holiday meals can be picked up from Wednesday through Saturday, Christmas Eve.
Price Choice Supermarkets: Open regular hours on Christmas Day.
The Fresh Market: Closing at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Closed Christmas Day. Online holiday meal ordering ends Wednesday at 2 p.m.
Whole Foods Market: Closing at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Closed Christmas Day. Order holiday catering by Thursday.
Trader Joe’s: Closing at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve and closed on Christmas Day.

Pharmacies
CVS/Navarro: Stores open. Navarro pharmacies likely closed. Some CVS pharmacies are closed, others open, hours differ by location.
Walgreens: Most stores will be open, some with reduced hours, but pharmacies will be closed. The 24-hour pharmacies will remain open.

Costco: Closing at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve, closed on Christmas Day. Open at 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 26.
Target: Closing at 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve, closed on Christmas Day. Open at 7 a.m., Monday, Dec. 26.
Walmart: Closing at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve, closed on Christmas Day. Open at 6 a.m., Monday, Dec. 26.
B.J’s Wholesale Club: Closing at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve, closed on Christmas Day. Open at 8 a.m., Monday, Dec. 26.
Major South Florida malls
Remember, individual stores might close earlier than the mall as a whole.
Aventura Mall: Closing at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve, closed on Christmas Day. Open at 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 26.
Brickell City Centre: Closing at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve, closed on Christmas Day except for the movie theater and certain restaurants. Open at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 26.
Broward Mall: Closing at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve, closed on Christmas Day. Open at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 26.
Coral Square: Closing at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve, closed on Christmas Day. Open at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 26.
Dadeland Mall: Closing at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve, closed on Christmas Day. Open at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 26.

Mass Transit
Miami-Dade: Metrobus, Metrorail and Metromover will operate on a weekend schedule on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Dec. 26. Special Transportation Service customers can still reserve or cancel a trip by calling 305-871-1111.
Broward: Broward County Transit will operate a holiday service schedule on Christmas Day and a regular weekday schedule on Monday, Dec. 26. Customer service representatives will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at 954-357-8400 (TTY 954-357-8302) on Christmas to provide trip-planning assistance for fixed-route and paratransit services. Staff will also be available from 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. both days at the BCT Main Terminal, 101 NW First Ave. in Fort Lauderdale, and Lauderhill Transit Center, 1359 NW 40th Ave. The Northeast Transit Center in Pompano Beach will be closed. Customer service offices will be open as normal on Dec. 26, but administrative offices will be closed.
Tri-Rail: Christmas Day service will run on a weekend/holiday schedule. Christmas Eve will be a weekend schedule. Monday, Dec. 26, will be a normal schedule.
Brightline: Trains will be running throughout the holiday weekend.
Garbage pickup
Miami: No garbage pickup on Christmas Day.
Miami-Dade: No garbage or bulk pickup on Christmas Day or Monday, Dec. 26. There will be recycling pickup on Dec. 26.
Fort Lauderdale: No garbage pickup on Christmas Day. But you can put your live trees outside for pickup starting Dec. 26. Take the ornaments off first.
Broward County: No garbage pickup on Christmas Day.
In other municipalities, check with your waste management provider.
U.S. Postal Service
Post office branches will be open and mail delivered on Christmas Eve. Branches closed with no mail delivery (unless it’s Priority Mail Express) on Christmas Day and Monday, Dec. 26.
Banks
The Federal Reserve Bank is closed on Christmas Day and Monday, Dec. 26, so your bank branch is probably closed those days, too — unless you’re a customer of TD Bank, which says it’s open Monday Dec. 26.
Stock markets
The New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ are closed Christmas Day and Monday, Dec. 26.
Court system and county offices
Miami-Dade: Closed Christmas Day and Monday, Dec. 26.
Broward: Closed Christmas Day and Monday, Dec. 26.
Libraries
Miami-Dade: Closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Monday, Dec. 26. Online services are open every day.
Broward: Closed Christmas Day and Monday, Dec. 26. The website is never closed, however.
