No serious injuries reported after banner plane plummets into Biscayne Bay near Star Island
The only person on board a banner plane that went down in the water near Star Island escaped serious injury on Saturday afternoon.
The man, whose identity was not released, sustained minor injuries and was out of the water when authorities arrived.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said it does not know why the accident happened or whether the pilot went to the hospital. The plane remained submerged in the water.
