Police are investigating after a father was found dead inside his home in northwest Miami-Dade County.
The man, who police have not identified, was found dead with a gunshot wound inside his home Thursday night along Northwest 40th Avenue and 1st Street, according to Miami-Dade County police.
The home is a few blocks away from West Flagler Street and 42nd Avenue.
Family members told Local 10 the victim’s son found him dead inside the home. Some of the man’s personal belongings were also reported missing.
Miami-Dade County’s homicide bureau is investigating.
Police say they do not have any suspect information at this time and are asking anyone who might have seen or heard something to call them.
