When does your favorite mall open on Black Friday? Can you go to the bank or post office?
Though most people have the day after Thanksgiving off, “Black Friday” isn’t an actual national holiday, no matter what retailers say.
Here’s what’s open, closed, and open but operating differently in South Florida on Friday.
Malls:
Aventura Mall: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Coral Square: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Dadeland Mall: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Dolphin Mall: 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The Falls: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Florida Keys Outlet Marketplace: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Miami International Mall: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Pembroke Lakes Mall: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Sawgrass Mills: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Westfield Broward Mall: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Westland Mall: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Supermarkets and major pharmacies: Regular hours.
Garbage: Regular pickup in Miami-Dade and Miami.
Mass Transit: Metrobus, Metromover and Metrorail and Broward County Transit will run on a normal Friday schedule.
Banks: Open.
U.S. Postal Service: Open.
Schools: Still closed
Libraries: Closed in Miami-Dade and Broward.
Stock exchanges: New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ will be open until 1 p.m. Bond markets and OTC markets will close at 2 p.m.
