A memorial service honoring Roberta “Bosey” Foote will be held at 2 p.m. May 29 at the Edward T. Foote II University Green on the University of Miami’s Coral Gables campus, 1300 Memorial Dr.

Foote is credited with beautifying the campus and turning the grounds into a botanical garden during the 20 years her husband, UM President Emeritus Edward “Tad” Foote II, served as president. The couple arrived at UM in 1981.

“This should be a lovely tribute event, out on the Foote Green in the heart of the lush tropical campus she made possible,” UM spokeswoman Margot Winick said.

Foote, daughter of the late U.S. Sen. J. William Fulbright, died at 76 on May 5. To RSVP, email eventsmanagement@miami.edu or call 305-284-2875.
