U.S. women’s soccer player Megan Rapinoe earns World Cup, WWE belt
For helping the U.S. women’s soccer team win the World Cup, midfielder Megan Rapinoe received a WWE World title belt from WWE.
She happily posed for photos wearing the elaborate belt. She is one of many champions who have received WWE gold for their championship accomplishments.
Athletes from throughout the sports world enjoy WWE, attending events live or watching it on television. The company rewards champions with a custom WWE World title. The heavy belt is something the athletes enjoy very much.
Draymond Green of the NBA champion Golden State Warriors held his WWE belt high in the air.
The NHL champion Chicago Blackhawks posed for photos on home ice with the Stanley Cup, other hockey trophies and the WWE title, sent to them by WWE Chairman/CEO Vince McMahon.
The NFL champion New England Patriots garnered a championship belt, courtesy of WWE and New England’s own Paul Triple H Levesque. The Pats showcased the WWE title during their Super Bowl victory parade.
Hunter Pence of the World Series Champion San Francisco Giants received a WWE belt from WWE superstar Daniel Bryan during the Giants’ World Series victory parade.
In 2005 the attention and attraction to the belts by pro athletes went mainstream as Detroit Pistons star forward Rasheed Wallace bought his teammates world championship belts for winning the NBA title. LeBron James did something similar for his champion Miami Heat teammates in 2014.
