A 16-year-old girl left a Broward group home, was returned and disappeared again, cops say

Update: Pembroke Pines police said Tuesday that Jasmine Mendez was found Monday night and returned to Children’s Harbor. Jasmine then left again and was still missing Tuesday night.

Jasmine Mendez walked away from Children’s Harbor in Pembroke Pines Saturday night — and the 16-year-old never returned.

Authorities say the teen, who is known to self-harm, made “suicidal remarks” to her caseworker before leaving.

According to police, she left the group foster home, 19425 SW 58th Manor, at about 10 p.m. Saturday.

Jasmine, who has brown hair and brown eyes, stands 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 290 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black and brown shirt with black and brown pants.
