He blamed his mother for Facebook posts that talked about shooting up a school, cops say

A former Everglades High student has been arrested for threatening to “shoot up” the school, Miramar police announced Monday morning.

Javary Meriwether put part of the blame on his mother, cops say.

Meriwether, 28, faces one count of written threat to kill or injure after, Miramar cops say, Facebook posts from Saturday.

According to the complaint affidavit, at 11:39 a.m., Meriwether posted “I’m still deciding whether to shoot that b----- up or not.”

Four minutes later, “Jay Boogie” (Meriwether) posted, “I’m talking bout my old high school.” Then, later, “Matter fact I was think about shooting the school up because of you not y’all treated me know I’m interested in making everybody wealth from generations to come fvo things.”

The affidavit says when Miramar police swung by the Meriwether home, Meriwether admitted he made the posts.

“He said that he posted the messages because his mother was stressing him out,” the affidavit said. “He said that the messages were posted only as a joke and he had no intention of carrying out the threat.”
