Fort Lauderdale Air Show grounded — but not canceled — amid coronavirus concerns
The coronavirus outbreak has even grounded the mighty Thunderbirds.
The 2020 Fort Lauderdale Air Show, which the United States Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron was set to headline, has been postponed.
The show, which draws thousands to Fort Lauderdale beach each spring, was scheduled for May 2-3. Officials are working to schedule a fall date, but no date has been set yet.
If you have already purchased tickets for the VIP Penthouse, Flight Line Club and Drop Zone Beach, they can be used for the rescheduled date or exchanged for next year’s event on May 8-9, 2021.
You won’t see the Thunderbirds in 2021, though - next year’s show is set to feature the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.
