Did you miss these Miami real estate stories? Catch up on traffic, sales, rents
Two weeks a year.
That’s how long the average Miami-area resident spends behind the wheel, my colleague Max Klaver recently reported.
Miami has the second-worst traffic of any American city, behind only Los Angeles, with the average round-trip commute taking 76 minutes a day. And as development spreads away from downtown and toward exurbs like Homestead, commute times may only be getting longer for some.
Traffic can affect where people choose to live, with some people picking walkability or proximity to public transit so they can avoid raising their blood pressure in bumper-to-bumper traffic every day.
How about you? Has traffic ever influenced which neighborhood or city you decided to live in?
