Dadeland Mall fanatic? Shopping haven draws Spanish brand, six other new tenants
Eager to shop? Dadeland Mall in Kendall has seven new store and food options coming in 2023 to the gigantic shopping complex, following the retail growth trend in Miami-Dade.
The 71-acre Dadeland Mall at 7535 North Kendall Dr. inked leases with seven additional retailers and eateries, including Spanish brand Bilbao clothing and accessory brand Bimba y Lola making its U.S. debut at the shopping center, said Dailen Rodriguez, the mall’s manager.
The stores are slated to open as soon as later this month and October, also including glasses vendor Eye Center Boutique, men’s clothing store Maceoo, French lingerie chain Etam, frozen cocktails vendor Fat Tuesday, consumer electronics store Razer and Chinese restaurant chain Pei Wei.
This is the latest mall in Miami-Dade and Broward counties announcing a wave of newcomers. Others include Brickell City Centre and Sawgrass Mills. Mall owners and managers point to the region’s population growth for drawing international, national and local brand expansions. The retailing trend here runs contrary to much of the rest of the country where online shopping and home delivery of goods have crushed malls.
“Dadeland is iconic to South Florida, especially to South Dade families,” Rodriguez said. “We are careful in bringing in the right brands.”
Nestled in Kendall, Dadeland Mall has seen a wide variety of residential developments built within walking distance over the past few years.
“There is much more density now with the Dadeland area,” said Ligia Labrada, founder of Unum Consulting, a commercial real estate consulting firm.
In addition to the nearby residential population, the mall’s reputation is well-known.
“Miami has always been a city that has benefited from the economic and political turmoil in Latin America,” Labrada said. People are coming here and they are shopping. Dadeland is a one-stop shop that offers everything for everyone.”

Open since 1962, Dadeland Mall celebrated its 60th anniversary last year. It opened with 400,000 square feet of retail space. Today, it covers roughly 1.5 million square feet. It’s home to the state’s largest Macy’s, JCPenney, Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom.
