You can bring your dog — but not your kids — to Miami Beach’s new adults-only hotel

A new hotel on Miami Beach, built on the foundation of a historical landmark, is ready to welcome its first guests.

Just leave the kids — even the teenage ones — at home.

The 91-room Greystone Miami Beach, a boutique hotel at 1920 Collins Ave. is now taking reservations for stays beginning Jan. 30, 2020. Room rates run between $272-$450. Ballers can book a four-night Super Bowl weekend package for $3,600.

But the hotel does not allow guests under the age of 21 — the second resort in Miami Beach to adhere to an adults-only policy. Kids are also not allowed inside The Standard hotel and spa at 40 Island Ave., which opened in 2009.

“We’ve positioned ourselves organically to align with the growing global trend of travelers seeking adult-only accommodations,” said James Vosotas, principal of VOS Hospitality, which developed the project alongside The B Group investment firm.

“The decision was an outgrowth of our brand’s DNA as an escape from the routine, with chic boutique rooms alongside creative culinary, energetic nightlife, and a dynamic pool scene in a city that caters to the adult entertainment seeker,” Vosotas said. “We’re an ideal fit for the discerning and millennial-minded looking to get away, have fun, or just relax in a purposefully designed and programmed environment.”

The 54,000 square-foot hotel incorporates the former Greystone Hotel, which was built in 1939 and designated as a historic Art Deco landmark, with an adjacent building at the corner property. The architectural film Shultman + Associates designed the new hotel.

The Greystone Miami Beach will house two restaurants: Sérêvène, serving French-Japanese fusion dishes, and KOBO, which offers fast-casua,l Japanese-crafted sandwiches. The hotel will also be home to two lounges — the Golden Gator underground champagne bar and the UISCE craft cocktail bar — and a rooftop pool.

But although the Greystone isn’t kiddie-friendly, the hotel does allow dogs up to 25 pounds — and they don’t even need to be service or emotional support animals.
