BANKS
Oliver Benitez has been named vice president and manager of the Brickell Banking Center of City National Bank. Before joining the bank, he was vice president and managing director at TotalBank.
Robert C. Noroña has been named senior vice president at Ocean Bank. Previously he was manager of the Small Business Lending Department at the bank. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida and an MBA from the University of Miami.
Thomas R. Oliveri has been appointed market executive for the Broward region of Northern Trust and will be based in Fort Lauderdale. Previously he was managing director of the wealth advisory services based in Miami. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of South Florida.
CREDIT UNION
Michael Tomko has been named president and CEO of BrightStar Credit Union, based in Sunrise. He replaces Colin Battle, who was interim CEO. Before joining BrightStar, Tomko was the senior vice president of operations at Community First Credit Union in Jacksonville.
CRUISE LINES
Carnival Corp. has named the following:
▪ Julia M. Brown has been named to the newly formed chief procurement officer role. Brown most recently served as CPO on the global management team at Mondelez International. She has a bachelor of commerce from McMaster University in Canada.
▪ James Chedgey has been named vice president of global financial planning and analysis. Most recently, Chedgey served in various roles with Royal Mail, including head of transformation finance operations. Chedgey, a chartered accountant, has a bachelor of commerce in business administration from the University of Birmingham in England.
EDUCATION
Kelly Gregg has been named as vice president for clinical operations at Nova Southeastern University. He comes to NSU from Diagnostic Clinic Medical Group (Tampa) were he served as chief financial officer and senior manager of a 110-provider multi-specialty practice group. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from San Diego State University in California.
HEALTHCARE
Jodi Pascal, RN, has been named director of clinical education at Miami Jewish Health Systems. Previously she was the manager of nursing and quality for the Douglas Gardens Hospital as well as an adjunct professor of health service administration at Barry University. Pascal received her master’s degree in social work and master’s in public administration from Florida International University. She also holds a master’s in health service administration from Barry University.
SPORTS
Nicole Bienert has been named vice president of partnership activation and retention of the Miami Dolphins and Sun Life Stadium. Previously she was senior director of team marketing and business operations at the National Basketball Association. She has a bachelor’s of business administration from the University of Georgia.
TECHNOLOGY SERVICES
Paul Moura has been promoted to president from CFO at SkillStorm, based in Fort Lauderdale. Moura, a CPA, has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance and an MBA from the University of Miami.
TRANSPORTATION
Jason Bewley has been named chief financial officer at Silver Airways. He most recently was CFO for All Aboard Florida. Previous leadership roles include stints as vice president of finance for World Fuel Services, and executive roles at AirTran Airways. He has a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Kentucky and an executive master of business administration from the University of Florida.
