Publix adds more car registration kiosks in South Florida. See store locations
Publix is continuing to add more self-serve car registration renewal kiosks inside stores, doubling the number of locations in South Florida where drivers can take care of the annual chore.
The Florida MV Express car registration kiosks inside supermarkets allow drivers to avoid lines at county auto tag offices. The Publix program began in April at five Miami-Dade supermarkets.
In July, Publix announced that the Broward County Tax Collector’s Office was hoping to have 10 kiosks in stores by year’s end. That mark is close. Nine Publix Florida MV Express locations, from Hollywood to Pembroke Pines, join the five in the Miami area from Homestead to Doral.
Statewide, 82 self-service car registration renewal kiosks were up and running in July. By early December, that number has grown to 97.
Here are the South Florida Publix stores with Florida MV Express kiosks as of Dec. 3, according to Lindsey Willis, a spokeswoman for Publix, or ones on the way by the end of December:
