Miami went crazy for digital Van Gogh shows. Now we can experience Monet the same way
Goodbye, Van Gogh. Hello, Monet.
That’s right. There’s a new immersive exhibit coming to town just after the holidays, and once again, it’s all about the Impressionists.
“Beyond Monet: The Immersive Experience,” from Paquin Entertainment Group and Normal Studio, is a sister exhibit to the popular “Beyond Van Gogh,” which opened at Ice Palace Studios in April and sold more than two million tickets in six months.
Now, the Dutch Impressionist makes way for a French impressionist. The paintings are different, but the concept remains the same.
The new exhibit brings to life 400 of Claude Monet’s most famous works. Don’t worry. You have to know that means the “Water Lilies” series will be included.
Like its predecessor, the show uses special projection technology, blending images with music and sound effects to create an immersive glimpse into the artist’s life and works.
“Beyond Van Gogh” was the first of the immersive exhibits to arrive in Miami, followed by the rival “Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience,” which is still open at the Olympia Theater in downtown Miami throughout 2021.
