This popular Coral Gables steakhouse is opening a waterfront location in Miami
Daniel’s, the upscale steakhouse concept that first opened in Fort Lauderdale then took Coral Gables by storm, will be opening a third restaurant on the water.
Father-daughter duo Thomas and Kassidy Angelo of Gioia Hospitality Group have announced they will be opening the new restaurant at Aimco’s luxury development at 560 NE 34th St. in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood.
The restaurant, which will sprawl across 11,500 square feet, will be located on Biscayne Bay in a neighborhood that’s already home to upscale spots like Amara at Paraiso from chef Michael Schwartz’s Genune Hospitality and Klaw in the historic Miami Woman’s Club building. The new Daniel’s will feature 2,500 square feet of outdoor space and have an outdoor bar directly on the bay.
Angelo, also the force behind the upcoming La Sponda Italian restaurant at Grove Isle in Coconut Grove, which is expected to open later this year, said Edgewater is a “really interesting location.”
“Kassidy and I are really excited to bring the Daniel’s experience and hospitality to this location,” he said, adding that its Edgewater home “will allow people who live nearby in Bay Point or the Design District or even Miami Beach to experience Daniel’s” without making the long drive to Coral Gables.
Kassidy Angelo, who lives in nearby Midtown, agrees Edgewater is a great location.
“This location allows us to introduce a whole new audience to the hospitality, quality and guest experience we’ve built at Daniel’s,” she said. “We’re excited to become part of this neighborhood and create a waterfront destination the community can enjoy for years to come.”
The first Daniel’s opened in Fort Lauderdale in 2024 and was so successful it prompted Angelo to convert his Coral Gables restaurant Fiola into Daniel’s Miami in 2025. Earlier this year, Daniel’s Miami was the first restaurant in the United States to host the international Rare Tour, an invitation-only culinary series with award-winning chefs and iconic steakhouses, and was named one of the top steakhouses in the world by World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants.
The new Daniel’s restaurant is expected to open in late 2027 or early 2028.
