New rooftop social club opening in Wynwood above upscale steakhouse from NY

In case you didn’t know Miami is on the cusp of The Season, a new rooftop bar is coming to Wynwood.

Opening Nov. 11 is CC Rooftop Social Club, located at the Moxy Miami hotel, which is also about to become the home of the new and upcoming New York import Brooklyn Chop House. The upscale steak restaurant has taken over the former space of Casa Madera, a Tulum-inspired restaurant and nightlife spot that closed after less than a year.

To get to the rooftop, you enter through the Brooklyn Chop House, which will also open on Nov. 11. Take the elevator to the seventh floor to the restaurant, then ascend a staircase to the floor above. There, you’ll find CC Rooftop Social Club, with indoor and outdoor spaces for dining and drinking and views of Wynwood.

The space is more than a lounge, according to co-owner CC Waknine.

“It’s a destination that transitions effortlessly from sunset cocktails to late-night celebration,” Waknine said.

The menu at CC Rooftop Social Club includes many shared plates, like shishito peppers, rock shrimp tepura, Peking duck bao, wagyu gyoza and truffle edamame dumplings. There are also salads and carpaccio, plus luxurious choices like caviar service and the requisite seafood tower.

There’s a striking indoor bar, but the main draw, aside from the cocktails, is the outdoor terrace, lined with greenery, which offers views of the surrounding neighborhood. There will be live entertainment and, we are assured, even dancing, if the spicy margaritas hit just right.
