Cinco de Mayo is here. Do you know where you’re drinking margaritas today?

There is no shortage of spots serving up everybody’s favorite tangy, salty beverage in Miami, especially in Wynwood. But only one restaurant is serving the best margarita in Florida, according to Eat This, Not That.

The website, which offers advice on nutrition, healthy eating, wellness and what tastes good even if it’s not as virtuous as a kale smoothie, says that the best margarita in Florida can be found at Le Chick in Wynwood.

Eat This, Not That recommends that you order the frozen margarita, which will cost you $14 most of the time but only $7 during happy hour. They come in the classic flavor or passion fruit, strawberry, mango or guava flavors.

If you’re a traditionalist, don’t worry — you can go old school. The drinks come on the rocks, too.

What makes Le Chick’s margaritas so good is “respect to the main spirit, tequila,” says bar manager Vincent “Vinny” Updyke.

“Tequila is strictly made from agave,” he says. “So we create our own agave syrup in-house as the sweetening agent. We also only use the freshest cold-pressed lime juice available for a perfect balance. And that creates the perfect margarita.”

And talk about attention to detail: Le Chick, which serves lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch, also makes its own salt. Guests can choose between the house-blended spicy togarashi or dehydrated citrus salt, Updyke says.

The restaurant, which Coco Coig and Jorge Sanchez opened in 2017, has been singled out for its menu before. In 2021, Big 7 Travel chose Le Chick’s burger as one of the best 50 burgers in the country.
