Wawa fans near and far are thrilled with the proliferation of their beloved gas station food, which mainly comes in the form of subs and coffee but stirs the sort of feverish pride usually reserved for sports teams, mothers or nation of origin.

Here in Miami, though, good gas station cuisine is something we’ve grown used to. We’re not just talking pretzels or ancient hot dogs or Slurpees. We’re talking tapas and wine. Wraps and tacos. Cachapas.
