Lots of moving and shaking at The Standard in Miami Beach.

After major, months-long renovations, two new “culinary concepts” are opening Friday: Café Standard and Monterrey Bar.

Café Standard is said to be more of a casual, neighborhood breakfast/lunch place to tuck into for plant-based, superfood-focused options developed by Executive Chef Andrew Gilbert. He promises cheat day offerings as well.

The spa-focused menu offers something for vegetarians, vegans and those living the gluten-free life: Think cold-pressed juices, specialty coffees, vegan (non dairy) so-called mylks and freshly made smoothies.

For all-day dining, you can’t miss Gilbert’s mezze bowl, aubergine toast, veggie bahn mi or spirulina vegan pastries.

The space has a Scandinavian aesthetic with diagonally paneled pine walls, clean lines and tropical flourishes throughout.

For more nocturnal activities, check out the Monterrey Bar, whose name pays homage to the hotel’s namesake, The Monterrey Motel, which originally opened at 40 Island Avenue back in 1953.

The darkly lit, sleek cocktail spot features an extensive drinks menu including the signature Lido Gin Martini (vermouth, lemon zest and herb oil). The Root Chakra also sounds interesting (tequila and Campari with chili reduction, fresh lime and sage).

Feeling peckish with your adult beverage? Cocktails pair with dishes such as roasted bone marrow with honey mustard glaze and shiitake mushrooms; grilled swordfish belly with kiwi pico and avocado cream, or truffled tater tots with porcini aioli.

With all the changes afoot, The Standard’s gorgeously expansive view of Biscayne Bay remains the same.
