Is a new Chick-fil-A opening in Kendall? We can already taste the waffle fries

A little birdie told us that Chick-fil-A is coming to west Kendall.

“Chick-fil-A is happy to share that we are actively pursuing a new location in the Kendall area of Miami,” a Chick-fil-A spokeswoman told the Miami Herald. “We look forward to working through the approval process with the city and are excited by the prospect of joining this vibrant neighborhood. We hope to have the opportunity to serve new guests delicious food in an environment of genuine hospitality.”

Where is this new restaurant? We are told it will be in the old Romano’s Macaroni Grill space at the Kendallgate Shopping Center at 12100 SW 88th Street. So convenient for all and a must for any neighborhood, right?

The Kendall peeps like their waffle fries and Icedream cones. Because there’s another location nearby at Dadeland Mall.

As it is famously known, the new spot will be closed on Sundays to observe whatever you observe.

Sad about Macaroni Grill? So are we. The chain filed for Chapter 11 protection back in 2017 and has been shutting locations like crazy since then. There is none currently left in South Florida.

The answer: Eat less pasta, more chicken.

Visit The Chicken Wire to check back on the new locations’ opening plans.
