2 Miami Beach restaurants are best in the U.S. for everyday dining, Tripadvisor says

Two of the best restaurants in the U.S. for everyday dining are in Miami Beach, according to Tripadvisor.

The online travel company has just announced its annual Best Restaurants in the U.S. for 2020, and last year’s winner has managed a repeat victory. The Italian restaurant Pane Y Vino on Washington Avenue, famous for its homemade pastas, was voted best in 2019.

At no. 2 was another longtime South Beach favorite: the 11th Street Diner, which moved up from the no. 4 spot in 2019. Falling off the top 10 list for everyday eating was Blue Heaven in Key West, which ranked no. 10 last year.

Here’s the bad news, though: If you want find out why visitors love both restaurants so much, you’ll have to wait. Pane Y Vino and the 11th Street Diner are temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Over on the fine dining list, The Bazaar by Jose Andrés made the top 20, coming in at no. 16. The best fine dining establishment in the country was The French Laundry, Thomas Keller’s restaurant in Yountville, California (Keller opened The Surf Club in Surfside in 2018).
