This Miami Beach food hall is getting new vendors — including a rooftop bar
Changes are coming to Miami Beach’s Lincoln Eatery, and that means new things to eat and drink — and new places to eat and drink them.
Two of the new concepts opened this week. Cilantro 27 serves sustainable Peruvian fare from Chef Nilton Castillo, a native of Lima who comes with a recommendation from star chef Daniel Boulud: “Castillo makes the best ceviche in the world.” Castillo also worked with World Central Kitchen creator José Andres.
Expect dishes like lujoso ceviche ($15), with Key West shrimp, grapefruit, avocado, cucumber and leche de tigre.
Also open is The Market Milkshake Bar, just in time to cool off your summer (it is HOT out there). Douglas Alvarado’s milkshake truck joins Lincoln Eatery with shakes like Cookies and Cream Nutella and Guava and Cheese.
Coming later this summer is Sky Yard, a new rooftop bar now under construction that will mix up tropical-inspired drinks and feature live performances from popular EDM stars. There will also be games like ping pong and air hockey, with pool tables and golf simulators. You can also order food — think steakhouse bites and Asian raw dishes with a special Latin twist. Sky Yard will be open Thursday-Sunday with late night hours Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
There’s also another piece of Sky Yard, and that’s La Esquina de Tony in the food hall’s ground floor. It’s named after Tony Montana from “Scarface,” so expect ’80s nostalgia and tapas cuisine to be washed down with mojitos and caipirinhas. (Tony liked mojitos.) La Esquina de Tony will most likely open when bars are permitted to open again in Miami-Dade County.
Also opening later this summer is Cubanitos, which offers traditional Cuban fare like ropa vieja and even a vegan piccadillo.
The new restaurants will join the new Bahamian restaurant C Food Shack, which opened in June, and other vendors like Necessary Purveyor and Marble & Rye. The food hall is not open for indoor dining due to COVID-19 restrictions, but you can order food for outside dining, takeout or delivery.
