Michelin-starred chefs will feed you at this luxury food festival in Bal Harbour
For the second year in a row, the Haute Cuisine experience is back in Bal Harbour with six international chefs who share nine Michelin stars among them - and tickets are now on sale.
Created in 2015, the ultimate upscale food festival left W Verbier in Switzerland for South Florida last year, and now it’s back at various locations in Bal Harbour, including the Bal Harbour Shops.
Haute Cuisine Bal Harbour features 16 interactive cooking classes at The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort and The Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour and four themed, five course dinners with wine pairings. The plan: To showcase bespoke cuisine and culinary techniques.
The journey starts with a cocktail reception on May 5 at Oceana Bal Harbour (sorry - it’s invite-only). Here’s the dinner schedule. Count those Michelin stars with us:
Wednesday, May 6: Fashion-themed dinner at Le Zoo at Bal Harbour Shops with chefs Makoto Okuwa, Joel Cesari and Thierry Drapeau (a combined three Michelin stars).
Thursday, May 7: An art-themed dinner at The Grill at The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort, with chefs Jacques Pourcel, Jean-Baptiste Natali and Conrado Tromp (a combined four Michelin stars).
Friday, May 8: Chefs Pourcel, Alain Caron, Sergi Arola and Anthony Le Pape will collaborate for a design-themed dinner at Artisan Beach House in The Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour (five Michelin stars).
Saturday, May 9: The chefs collaborate for a grand finale dinner at Atlantikos in The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort followed by a decadent dessert and champagne soiree (a whopping nine Michelin stars).
