This popular chicken spot has new vegan options so now everyone in Miami can eat ‘pollo’

Pollo Tropical is going vegan.

Well, not entirely. You can still get chicken should you choose (and many of you will, and we can’t blame you because Pollo Tropical chicken sandwiches are life).

But the Miami-based chain is now offering a vegan TropiChop and a vegan wrap with “picadillo” made from Beyond Meat. (That is to say: plant-based meat.)

Everybody’s got a non-meat “meat” on the menu these days, so why should Pollo Tropical be any different?

The vegan Tropichop ($4.49) includes white or brown rice, black beans, sauteed pepper and onions and the Beyond Meat picadillo. The vegan wrap ($4.09) is stuffed with a choice of rice, black beans, Beyond Beef and sweet plantains in a tortilla.

The new menu items are now available at Pollo Tropicals throughout the county.
