Did you miss Barbra Streisand’s Miami concert last year? Now you can see the whole thing on Netflix.
When Barbra Streisand performed to a sold-out Miami audience in December 2016 she quipped, “The last time I played Miami I was the opening act for Sergio Franchi” at the Eden Roc on Miami Beach in March 1963. Back then, “a tweet was what a bird did and the only people who had cell numbers were people in jail. My God, have I been around that long?”
She has. That Miami concert was filmed at the AmericanAirlines Arena for an eventual broadcast. A Netflix media posting Friday lists Nov. 22 as the air date for Streisand’s performance from her “The Music…The Mem’ries…The Magic! Tour.”

As such, this will be the first time a Streisand concert from Miami will be seen the world over. When she did that Eden Roc nightclub gig in the 1960s not only was color television still in its infancy and rarely broadcast and subscription networks like Netflix and HBO were far in the future.

At the Miami concert, Streisand, then 74, performed 26 songs that included opener “The Way We Were,” along with No. 1 singles “Woman in Love,” “Love Theme from A Star Is Born (Evergreen),” and the closing ballad “I Didn’t Know What Time It Was.”
Actors Patrick Wilson and Jamie Foxx joined the singer for duets and Streisand paid tribute from the stage to Miami Army veteran Sergio Lopez, who was injured on a tour of Iraq. His dream was to see the entertainment legend in concert. Streisand introduced Lopez and his mother in the audience to a standing ovation.
