Kai Trump just shared a personal update about a family member
Vanessa Haydon hasn’t given an update on her battle with breast cancer in a few weeks, but the news is apparently positive.
That information is coming from an inside source — her daughter.
While appearing on the Fox & Friends morning show Thursday, Kai Trump (whose father is Donald Trump Jr.) was asked about the former model, 48.
“My mom’s doing good,” the 19-year-old golf phenom told co-host Ainsley Earhardt. “Obviously, radiation takes a toll on your body, but she’s doing better. She’s a fighter.”
In May, Haydon, whose divorce was finalized from Jr. in late 2018, announced her diagnosis to her 150,000 plus Instagram followers. The mother of five explained she already had one procedure and was “working closely” with her medical team on a treatment plan.
Haydon did not specify the stage of her cancer or if it had spread.
At least the Jupiter resident has a support system nearby to help in her health journey. Included in her village is Kai, who will be soon be a freshman at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, two counties away.
Plus, there’s Haydon’s famous boyfriend of more than a year, Tiger Woods, who lives just a few miles away in Jupiter Island. The high-profile yet low-key couple has one major common ground to keep them bonded, i.e., golf playing kids who may go pro.
In May, Kai graduated from the Benjamin School in Palm Beach. The five-time Masters champ’s son Charlie, 17, is right under her. Starting his senior year shortly, he already verbally committed to Florida State University.
Despite Woods’ myriad off the green issues, which include a March rollover crash and subsequent rehab, Haydon appears to be all-in to this relationship.
Kai is apparently likewise impressed by her mom’s legendary beau, 50.
“He’s inspired me a lot,” the influencer told UsWeekly Wednesday night at the ESPY awards in NYC. “Just to be a better person, better golfer, and stuff like that.”
