Lisa Hochstein was arrested for spying on her ex. There’s an update
Lisa Hochstein has won one battle in her ongoing war with her ex-husband, South Florida plastic surgeon Lenny Hochstein.
The “Real Housewives of Miami” star is no longer in hot legal water. On Tuesday, all charges were dismissed roughly a month after her highly publicized arrest, according to court records.
Hochstein turned herself in to authorities April 15 after being charged with interception of wire, oral or electronic communications.
Paparazzi outside the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center showed the 43-year-old all made up for a glamorous mug shot that went viral. The Bravolebrity was detained for about six hours and released after posting $5,000 bond.
The trouble began in March 2023, when Lenny accused her and her now ex-boyfriend Jody Glidden of placing a secret recording device in his new Mercedes GLS 600 Maybach amid their contentious divorce.
According to a police report, the so-called Boob God let the reality star borrow the car, and after she returned it two days later, he saw a taped up “suspicious device” in the floorboard. A total of 98 recordings were uncovered, according to the warrant, some being conversations with Hochstein’s patients who did not give consent.
Glidden, who allegedly bought two recording devices “of the exact same make and model” on Amazon three months before the incident, was also arrested three days before Lisa. The fellow Canadian, 52, was released after posting the same bond amount and pleaded not guilty. As per court documents, the charges will be thrown out next month against him as well.
“All charges against Lisa Hochstein and Jody Glidden will be dismissed mid-June without any admission of guilt or conviction,” Hochstein and Glidden’s defense lawyers Jayne Weintraub and Howard Srebnick told USA Today in a statement.
The lawyers add that both parties were accepted into a felony pre-trial diversion program in partnership with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, which provides an alternative to traditional prosecution for eligible defendants.
