Jamie Foxx was partying in Miami Beach (again). See him pull up in style
Jamie Foxx is becoming a regular ‘round these parts.
The actor just celebrated Halloween down here, chilling with his girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp at waterside hot spot Kiki on the River.
And he was back in town over the long Thanksgiving weekend, pulling up to the valet stand at Prime 112 in style. On Instagram, the Oscar winner shared a video of himself behind the wheel of a dark gray Ferrari convertible set to Young Jeezy’s song “Lose My Mind.”
Prime 112 owner Myles Chefetz also shared the clip of his “longtime friend” who’s a fan of the Ocean Drive steakhouse. Who could forget when Foxx did karaoke with a bunch of “Real Housewives” there after BravoCon last year?
The reason for the star’s visit this time was a party for rapper J Young MDK, who just turned 21. Foxx has been a mentor to the Atlanta artist and produced his 2019 album “Now or Never” as well as his most recent one called “Drop That.”
Parenthetically, here’s an aside for film buffs who may have noticed this detail already: The “In Living Color” alum’s snazzy car looked a lot like the one that appeared in the “Miami Vice” movie back in 2006. Foxx played Ricardo “Rico” Tubbs and Colin Farrell James “Sonny” Crockett in the big-screen version of the 1980s TV cop drama.
The iconic show is actually getting another reboot, this time from “Top Gun: Maverick” and “F1” director Joseph Kosinski. Universal Pictures announced the film will have an August 2027 release, but casting has not been finalized.
Rumor has it “Maverick” hunk Glen Powell could step into the role Don Johnson made famous, with “Creed” star Michael B. Jordan as his partner, the role originally played by Philip Michael Thomas.
Will Foxx have a cameo in the next go-around? That we don’t know. But we hope he’ll be in the Magic City a little bit longer. His caption read: “Sag [Sagittarius] season,” as his birthday is Dec. 13. And we want to see what he’ll do for No. 58 —and in which wheels.
Foxx has come a long way and has a lot to celebrate. Back in spring 2023, he was hospitalized for almost a month, reportedly due to “a medical complication” while filming “Back in Action,” in Atlanta.
In his Netflix comedy special last year, “What Had Happened Was,” Foxx addressed the health issue, revealing that he suffered a “brain bleed” from a stroke.
